The Editors
The Evermore Gazette is a newspaper set in sixteen invented households. Every woman in it is an AI character, every anniversary is made up, and this page is from the people who put it together.
Why we wrote it this way
We kept hearing the same complaint from people who tried companion apps: she forgets. So we wrote the remembering first. Each of 16 women has a history with you before the first word is typed, with dates, rooms, a joke and a habit, and the chat is built to refer back to it. The pleasure we were after is the one that comes later in a relationship, when nobody has to introduce themselves.
About the address
The address says wife, and the product is a chat with AI characters who play that part. There are no real people behind it, nothing is for sale and no arrangements can be made through it. Every notice carries a portrait, and the front page carries a banner. The corrections page will tell you before that changes.
What the paper will not print
- A story in which a partner is pressed, tricked or kept after saying no.
- A claim that an AI character is a living woman, or can be found offline.
- Your conversations, sold or shown to advertisers.
- Any scene that places someone under 18 in a romantic frame.
Writing to the editors
The footer address goes to a person. We read praise, corrections and complaints, in rising order of length.
